BibleWorks 8
BibleWorks announces the release of version 8 of its biblical exegesis and research software (see full press release).
Some of the new program features include comprehensive analysis tabs in the Analysis Window, phrase matching tool and related verses tool, new formatting for exporting text, cross-reference window, an alternate set of Greek NT diagrams, external resources manager and English Bible text-to-speech. But this is only the tip of the iceberg. Check out this page for a more complete list of new features and databases, or this one for a full list of the newly added content. I just finished going through the Bibleworks announcement. Do you know if there are any plans to make BibleWorks fully Unicode compliant? You can export in Unicode but the display text and diagramming modules are still in ASCII. I did not see this mentioned, but maybe you know the answer.

I’m afraid I don’t know. I certainly wish they took the fully Unicode compliant route.

Did I understand it right on their website that the upgrade will only cost $20 ($40 for outside US) until December 24?

I don’t think so. According to this page, it’s more like $149.99 if you upgrade from BW7. The $20.00 you refer to is for those who bought BW7 after October 15, 2008.
