Personally I use slackware. Don't feel bad about getting a little frustrated with linux. It's not an OS you can just jump on and everything will work the way you want. However, that is also the beauty of the OS, you can make it work the way you want it to instead of it choosing what it does and conforming your computer experience to itself. Anyway I'm babbling now on to your bible question.

Bibletime is a very powerful and well built bible application. However, I like lot's of windows with different things open when I'm studying (don't know why, it's just one of my quirks) so even at 1600x1200 resolution I still can't get a interface I'm happy with.

On to my recomendation. I am not a big Gnome fan I actually prefer KDE and most of the software made for it but once in a while I will find a piece of software built on Gnome/GTK libraries that just rocks my world. AKA firfox, gimp, etc... and last but not least Gnomesword. Check it out at http://gnomesword.sourceforge.net/

Well I hope this helps a little, enjoy! And for questions about linux feel free to check out http://www.linuxquestions.org

Yesterday I installed Kubantu Linux from a live CD and I was on to the net in less than 1/2 hour. I am a Linux newbe. I was using the same patern that is mentioned above.. install fail and give up.
