Are We a Bunch of Blog-addicts?

Published: May 18th, 2005

Mark Goodacre raises the question of whether or not blogging is “a kind of addiction.” Other noted bibliobloggers seems to think it is (i.e., Jim Davila and Jim West). I believe it is potentially addictive. Speaking for myself, I feel guilty when I cannot blog regularly. I guess it’s a matter of feeling accountable to the people that read me regularly. I’m pretty sure I started to blog for myself, but now that I know that, for some strange reason, others are interested in what I have to say, it makes me feel a bit overwhelmed at times. Blogging is currently both a pleasure and a burden. Make any sense?
